Refuge in Lituya Bay
In the summer of 2022, we were blown off of the Fairweather Grounds by some pretty gnarly weather. We waited for the tide to change and headed into the legendary Lituya Bay where the largest tsunami ever recorded (1800 foot wave) took place in 1958.
